Which Starlink plans get the free month

Residential and Roam plans qualify. Business plans don’t. Here’s what one free month is worth on each.

Short answer

Starlink lists these plans for the referral credit: Residential Lite, Residential, Residential 100 Mbps, Residential 200 Mbps, Residential Max, Roam 100GB, Roam 300GB and Roam Unlimited. The free month is one month of the plan you choose, so it’s worth that plan’s monthly price.

Plan-specific things to know

Residential (home)

new Residential orders are kit rentals, not purchasespress report. whether the free month also covers a monthly kit rental feeunverified: preview your bill 2 to see. Rentals also need returning within 30 days if you cancel.

Roam and the Mini

Roam plans qualify, and the Mini runs on Roam. The usual rules apply: the kit and the plan both bought on starlink.com through the link. Roam includes Standby, but switching to it before bill 2 can cost you the credit.

Business and other plans

Plans not on Starlink’s list don’t carry the free month. If you need one of them, choose it on its merits and don’t count on the credit.

Questions people ask

Does the Starlink Mini get the free month?
The Mini runs on a Roam plan, and Roam 100GB, Roam 300GB and Roam Unlimited are on Starlink’s list. Order the Mini and plan on starlink.com through the link. A Mini bought in a store doesn’t qualify.
What about Residential Lite or plain “Residential”?
Starlink’s help page still lists both by name. Whether either is offered to new orders at your address is shown on starlink.com at checkout.
Is the free month worth more on a bigger plan?
Yes. The credit is one month of the plan you choose, so it’s worth more on a pricier plan. Still, choose the plan you need. A bigger plan costs more every month after the free one.
