Troubleshooter
Free month not showing up? Let’s find out why
Most of the time it’s simply bill 1, which is meant to be full price. If it’s bill 2, a few quick questions find the reason.
Short answer
The free month is credited on bill 2, not bill 1. If bill 2 is full price, the usual causes are: the order didn’t go through the link on starlink.com, you’ve had Starlink before, or you paused or cancelled early.

If everything checks out: what to send Starlink support
First, search your email for the message Starlink sends when the free month is confirmed. Then preview your upcoming bill in your account. If neither shows it, contact support from your Starlink account and include:
- Your order date and order number
- The day you opened the referral link and that you ordered in the same browser
- Which bill you expected the credit on (bill 2) and its date
- That you’ve never had Starlink before and stayed on a full-speed plan
Questions people ask
Can Starlink add the free month after I’ve ordered?
Starlink doesn’t describe any way to attach a referral after the order. If you used the link and something went wrong in tracking, support is the only one who can look. If you didn’t use a link, plan as if it won’t be added.
How long should I wait before contacting support?
Wait until you can preview bill 2 in your account, or until bill 2 arrives. Bill 1 is supposed to be full price, so contacting support then won’t help.
Can the person who shared the link fix it?
No. They can see referrals in their own account, but they can’t change your bill. Only Starlink support can look at your order.
